Coupon Deals for 5/1

Here are some of the coupon deals I found in my email this morning.

I saw two deals for Kroger;

Suave Everlasting Sunshine is reported to be on sale for $1.55.  Use this coupon for $.50 off to make each bottle just $.50.

Mission Tortilla Shells have been spotted with a peelie.  Priced at $1 each, a peelie for $1 off will make them free!

I only saw one deal for Wal-Mart this morning;

Nivea Cream Trial size is priced at $1.97.  In Sunday's Red Plum, some people recieved a coupon for $2 off Nivea.  That would make the product free.

Community Events

I added a calendar at the bottom of the page for upcoming community events.  These will be events from Shelby County and surrounding areas.  Now remember, I can't possibly know everything that goes on so if you know of something that I'm not aware of, please leave me a comnment or send me a message and let me know that way I can add it.  These events won't always be free, but there will be a mix of running events, free community activities, parades,  community garage sales and lots of other options when you're looking for something to do with the family. I'm going to not only add Shelby county activities, but I also hope to get in those from surrounding areas so there are more options for everyone.

Did you miss me?

I bet you did. I know I missed you! But I'm back.  No promises I will get to this every day as I work full time and have a 2 and 3 year old running around the house, but I miss blogging about deals.  I'm also going to try and add some things like recipes for different kinds of foods as I try to take the foods the kids and I love and make them more wholesome while trying to keep it from getting expensive.  So check back here for the deals I find and much more.

I'm sorry

I'm so sorry that I haven't posted anything lately.  My main source of email and internet usage, my Palm Pre, gave up on me.  It's now permanently in airplane mode, even when I try to turn airplane mode off (airplane mode, for those who don't have a smartphone, is when you can still use the apps that don't require internet, but internet and phone usage is disabled.)  I'm due for an upgrade in mid-October, so until then, I have to try and find alternative methods to use the computer and get the deals to you.  So, I will be posting more sporadically, but I will post as least once a week on the deals that are available or will be available for the next week at our stores.  I'm still trying to decide whether I want to get an iPhone with my upgrade, or if I want to get a standard phone (or free smartphone) and then put that money from what would have been an iPhone into a netbook.  Decisions, decisions.  Stay tuned.....I'm off today and tomorrow, so I will be using my mom's laptop to check out the deals and post everything I find.

Money Saving Ice cream cake

For birthdays, I love a good ice cream cake.  But I don't love the price.  So, I wanted to share this recipe I got in my email this morning from Breyers.  It's for a homemade ice cream cake, and when you use this recipe, you can make it any flavor you want.  Sounds super yummy to me!

Freebies at Wal-Mart

Ever since I started couponing, I've started using Wal-Mart more.  I still don't love going there, however I do feel better about out Wal-Mart than I think most people feel about there's.  I have heard some horror stories about couponing at Wal-Mart stores.  But for freebies, I'll head in there and take my chances.  Just follow the rules and there won't be any problems.
